Teguh Distributes Assistance to Flood Victims in Semper Barat

Jakarta Acting Governor, Teguh Setyabudi visited and distributed assistance to flood victims who temporarily stayed at Embrio Public Housing, RW 04, Semper Barat, Cilincing, North Jakarta, Thursday (1/30).

He was accompanied by North Jakarta Mayor, Ali Maulana Hakim and Jakarta Social Agency Head, Premi Lasari.

In this visit, he wanted to directly see the situation and how the 977 residents of RW 09, Semper Barat, who were affected by flood and evacuated to Embrio Public Housing were treated.

"Alhamdulillah, thanks to synergy of all parties, various assistance have been received by evacuees at Embrio Public Housing flood post," he expressed.

He said that residents in the evacuation post also conveyed their gratitude to the local government and all parties who helped in handling flood occurred at RW 04 Semper Barat.

"They also asked for cleaning tools when the flood recedes," he added.

He stated that the Jakarta Provincial Government continues to monitor the weather in Jakarta in the upcoming days.

"We also deploy all ranks to anticipate extreme weather that might occur," he asserted.

On the other hand, Jakarta Social Agency Head, Premi Lasari explained, her side will synergize with Jakarta BPBD that has distributed assistance to distribute assistance to Embrio Public Housing flood post, Semper Barat.

"We have distributed assistance in form of ready-to-eat meals, mattress, folding mattresses, family kit and kidsware," she mentioned.

Meanwhile, North Jakarta Mayor, Ali Maulana Hakim added, a medical team from Cilincing Sub-district Healthcare Center was also deployed to give health services at the flood post.

"Medical team and ambulance from healthcare center are on standby to help residents who are sick and need to be referred to the nearest hospital," she said.
